Welcome to Sevenoaks Tri Club

We are a friendly club based in Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation and Triathlon England. New members are always welcome - from beginners to more seasoned triathletes.

The best way to get started is to come along to one of the organised swim sessions - see Training Times for details. We are organising one Triathlon in 2011 in April - see the 7Oaks Triathlon tab above. Club members regularly take part in local, regional and national swimming, cycling and running events and to cap it all we have an active social section too. Cycling and Running

Organised Cycling takes place mainly at weekends. There are regularly two groups that go out on Saturday mornings and three on a Sunday. A regular run group meets at 6:30pm on a Tuesday at the Leisure Centre with a track session on a Thursday evening.

Swimming

We run 4 pool based sessions per week and 1 open water (summer only). All 4 pool sessions are coached by resident swim coach Mike Wake who has worked hard to create good technique as well as strong swimmers.

Club Races - The 7Oaks Triathlon

The Club usually runs two sprint distance triathlons every year, but for 2011 there is going to be just one race in April (SOLD OUT). Our 2009 September Race was voted race of the year at the 220 Triathlon Magazine Awards. These events are extremely popular, it is therefore advised to enter early if you wish to avoid disappointment!
