Tubulars

I've made the switch, for race wheels at least, onto tubular rims.

What's everyone's thoughts on the best tubular tyres?

Always used Conti GP4000s clinchers, but no idea what brands/ variations I'd be looking at for tubulars....

To be used on race wheels for middle/ long tri's

The consensus (well, this was a few years ago) was 23mm Vittoria Corsa CX for optimum rolling resistance, puncture resistance and grip. Possibly Conti Competition for a little more puncture protection at the sacrifice of a little rolling resistance.

Or get some Veloflex like Team Sky...

Veloflex record tubs are superb but, come with a heavy price tag. Neil's comment on conti comps is spot on. The Conti podium tt 22mm a good choice.
