Frame repair

Huw
After the odd km or two my trusty bike has cracked so to speak. It is an alu frame with carbon ends, unfortunately one of the carbon seat stays has worked loose and will need re bonding.

Does anyone know I would go about this ?

Convincing, don't even bother suggesting duct tape

Many thanks

That should have been Colvini re duct tape, spell check is far too clever

Can you pull the seat stay out from the alu tube?

If you can pull it apart then I would have thought an epoxy resin would do it, or Jon Hollidge suggests contacting carbon fibre repairs Derbyshire or argos cycles...

I've got this sticky black tape..

I am going to the London bike show tomorrow. If I see any frame repairers, I will have a chat with them and get details for you.

Many thanks for all replies so far

I think the seat stay will pull apart from the rear drop outs so some form of bonding might work, would prefer a professional than do it myself, any thoughts on where i can take it or contact numbers of repairers are greatly appreaciated

For correction and good order when i said thank you to all i did not include iL Colvini - who is probably hiding those white legs on his turbo in a darkened garage somewhere

He did a good job on a wheel for me a few years ago.
