Cassie (bronze medallist, Beijing Olympics, open water swim) dived into the Serpentine alongside Alan Lewis, Debbie Munton, Val Place, Mark Evans, Viv Brockwell, Sandra Vincent and James Bulley and proceeded to disappear into the distance as she effortlessly cut through the water. The main tip she imparted was that it’s all about the goggles – she was sporting a flash pair of goggles which had been designed and made in Japan – but we detected there was something more in terms of fitness, technique and training....

 The 7Oaks Tri Club members were there to join  in and be part of the launch marking a key moment in the preparations for the triathlon events in 2012. The event was attended by national and local media and there was great coverage of the 7Oaks Tri club members diving into the Serpentine alongside Cassie on the ITV London evening news.
