Welcome to the Run section of the Club. |
|
Club night is Tuesday and we meet at the Leisure Centre @ 1850 for a 1900 start.
In the Summer between mid-April and mid-September we use the natural surroundings of Knole Park for intervals, repetitions, pyramids and fartlek. Whatever session we do we make sure nobody gets left behind and we regroup after each interval. All standards from the back of the pack to the front get to run together.
In the winter between Mid-September and Mid-April we are on the streets or the Vine for speedwork, hill or strength work, and the occasional group jog. On nights of bad weather over the darker months it is worth e-mailing to ensure there are sufficient numbers to run.
Track Night is Thursday with Sevenoaks Athletics Club
We join the running club on the Vine in the Winter and at Sevenoaks School Track in the summer. Sessions are usually built around reps and intervals of distances ranging from 200m to 1200m. Sessions are usually given to us in advance so check the weekly newsletter or the website.
Long Runs
It is important you plan a long run into your schedule (Long being subject to the distance you plan on racing). We can help put you in touch with similar abilities so you can enjoy your long run. This should be a favourite session as it means you can get out and have a chat, your long run is about distance not speed, enjoying different company and terrain depending how the mood takes you.
AAA races / X-Country
The club is affiliated to the AAA so if you choose to do a road race please race under the banner of 7Oaks Tri and let us know how you got on.
If you need some winter motivation then you can run for Sevenoaks Athletics Club in the Kent Fitness League. Fixtures can be found here
If you would like to be added to the running e-mail group, have any questions, suggestions or just need some advice please email

Club 5K Results - 8 May |

A blowy morning down at the track saw Nick Anderton knock almost 3 minutes off his previous best time of 26-25 to record 23-28 and show that his hard work is paying off. Penny Bulley also recorded a best by 52 seconds of 21-10 and at the same time produced the fastest time of the ladies so far this year at a club 5K.
