CLUB RACES (Voted 220 Magazine Race of the year 2009)
|
|
 |
The Club runs two sprint distance pool based triathlons each year. The 2009 April and September races were a great success and the next one is on 19th September 2010. The races use staggered start times from 06:30hrs onwards, the last competitor usually finishing at around 11:30hrs. The 400m swim takes place in the Leisure Centre Pool, the Cycle Route takes in 25Km of the surrounding undulating Kent Countryside, whilst the run is 8Km mainly around the beautiful Knole Park.
The next 7Oaks Tri race on 19 September is full. On line entries for next April's event will open in October. Click here to register your interest

Race Feedback from September 2009
"I would like to say a big thank you to you and all the marshals who helped me today. It made my first ever tri an excellent experience. I was extremely impressed, the whole race is very well organised. I hope to be back next year - if you'll have me!"
"I would like to thank everyone at Sevenoaks Triathlon club for all the hard work put into yesterday's race, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can’t wait for the next one. Many Thanks for a great day".
"Hi there really loved your race it was the best one I've done yet well organised lovely people very friendly and a nice location :) will definately be doing it again, when are April entry's open? Only one thing would say could make it better would be bike transition numbered slots and rows as it was really hard to find my bike after swim and my stuff when back from the ride :-( other than that a blinding race many thanks see you again in April if it's not booked up already :-) x"
"Thanks to Sevenoaks Tri club for a great race, superbly organized even down the weather! I finished on a high as I won a prize in the raffle!!"
"It's only really when you go to other triathlons that you get a proper sense of how well the 7Oaks tri is run. Great marshalls, course- marking, prizes, raffle, goody bag, scenery, time-keeping, transition zone and even a mass start for the quicker racers. And the professionalism of the race organisation certainly does not come at the expense of friendliness and fun. Great stuff - well done to all involved for another top day".
"Just to say another great race. Not sure if there are any better I doubt it? Great location, superb organisation, and a really friendly bunch of Marshalls. Looking forward to the next time. Many Thanks to you all".
"Can you please add me to your list for notification of the event next Spring? I completed my first tri event with you yesterday and greatly enjoyed it so want to be on the start line next time to beat my time…Many thanks for hosting such a fantastic event."
"Just a quick email to say many thanks to all at the club for organising a really good event yesterday. Despite the sore muscles I am keen to compete again next year so please good you email me when applications for the Spring event open".
"Enjoyed yesterday’s event very much. Thanks for the excellent organisation! Could you let me know when the registration for the April event opens?"
"Guys, the race today was absolutely fantastic! The race itself was one of the most fun I have ever done and the organisation was superb with lovely finishing touches. What's more the goody bag and the prizes for the draw (wish I had won one of those prizes!) were fab too. I don't know how you do it, but well done and keep up the good work" |
