Lots going on over last 2 days. Here is the summary as it came in this morning.

John Bacon, Zoe Wright and Stephen searby were at Canterbury today for the inaugural Velocity events sprint based at the Kingsmead Centre (33m pool). Small friendly event but the run partly around an industrial estate not the most picturesque. I managed to get the lap count right this time (one) so reasonably quick bike time.  7oaks tri have a World Record holder!

Sue Hart (and 5 others - Mike Denbigh and Julian Critchlow both swim with the club occasionally, Alex Manley is a regular at the club race, and Kevan Sharp and Andy Scholes) have just completed the Arch to Arc relay (1 hour each in relay, running Marble Arch to Dover, swimming the channel (no wet-suits), cycle to Arc de Triomphe) in 50 hrs and 1 minute - a new world record apparently. Bloody impressive as they aren't exactly all uber-athletes, and were on an assortment of run-wot-you-brung bikes.

They were raising money for the new Scout Hut at Ide Hill, and Spinal Injuries (Rod, a guy associated with Ide Hill Scouts) broke his neck in a bike accident at PORC last year - sure its not too late to donate.
