Claire, riding for West Kent RC, rode the Anerley BC 50 and recorded a time of 2:10:36 which meant she was the fastest lady. Fastest time was 1:43:45 by Steve Dennis of East Grinstead CC. Claire also broke the ladies WKRC 50 record which had been held since 1957 by nearly 5 minutes. Apparently Claire struggled in the last few miles and shortly after the finish ended up on top of another rider in a ditch still clipped into her pedals. Please forward a photo!

Neil travelled up the A1 with Sydenham Wheeler Neil Stanley to do the Finsbury Park CC 25. Neil C was pleased to knock 15 secs of his PB with 55:51 which put him 18th. Neil S was also happy as he knocked 57 secs off his PB with 57:18 to finish 27th. Winner was Sam Barker of Planet X in 51:42.  This event was up towards Cambridge and as all club regulars know, the wind doesn't half blow up that way, ask Dave Willumsen for confirmation if in doubt! Out to the RAB was into quite a strong headwind but coming back was fast.
